Learned standing counsel for Gram Panchayat would submit that the operation of the impugned judgment may be suspended, as the same is creating confusion as to the authority of the Gram Panchayat in proceeding against the person who have encroached the Grama Kantam land.

It is to be noted that by virtue of the Andhra Pradesh Ordinance No.9 of 2021 issued by the State to amend the Andhra Pradesh Panchayat Raj Act, 1994, which has come into effect from 03.08.2021, procedure has been delineated to issue certificate of ownership for the owners of Grama Kantam area. Therefore, no further interim order is required as the appropriate authority can proceed in accordance with the amended provision.

Post this case for hearing on 14.11.2022. Interim order passed earlier directing the parties to maintain status quo shall remain in operation till the next date of hearing.
