WRIT PETITION No.4725 of 2022
ORDER:-
The petitioners had approached the authorities for grant
of assistance under the YSR Cheyutha Scheme. It is the
contention of the petitioners that petitioner Nos. 17 to 21 had
already been given one installment and remaining installments
are not being paid to them. It is their further contention that
petitioner Nos. 1 to 16 have given applications for assistance
under the scheme but, the said applications have not been
taken up for consideration by the respondents.
A learned Single Judge of this Court had considered this issue and issued directions by a common order dated 28.09.2021 in W.P.No.17691 of 2020 & Batch.
Following the above said judgment, this writ petition is disposed of with the following directions:
i) The respondents are directed to pay/extend the financial assistance forthwith to petitioner Nos. 17 to 21 under the YSR Cheyutha Scheme, as the first installment had already been given to them.
ii) The respondents are directed to continue the financial assistances to petitioner Nos.17 to 21 who had been granted financial assistance for first installment, for the remaining installments also subject to fulfillment of eligible criteria.
iii) The applications of petitioner Nos. 1 to 16 shall be taken up and considered by the respondents for grant 2 of assistance under the YSR Cheyutha Scheme subject to their fulfillment of eligibility criteria.
iv) The respondents shall consider and pass orders on these applications at the earliest, and preferably, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of this order.
There shall be no order as to costs. Miscellaneous petitions, pending if any, in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
